OFF LOOM WEAVING
Experience weaving with simple tools, which include peg looms, weaving on picture frames and card. Experience weaving with different materials such as wools, torn fabrics, wire and plastics
PATCHING AND PIECING
An opportunity to create a background fabric with free patching, this makes an ideal base for the addition of print and stich to fashion cushions, hangings, bags or other textile objects.
HANDSTITCH WORKSHOP
Using the paintings of artists such as Van Gogh as inspiration, the workshop aims to create small hand stitched images. The workshop also includes using drawing with watercolour media and fabric collage to create the backgrounds for the stitch.
FABRIC COLLAGE
Create a textile landscape with the use of a variety of materials, including fabrics, thread, paper, wire etc.
PLAYING WITH DRY MEDIA FOR DRAWING
An experimental drawing day to help fight the fear of drawing, the materials we'll use are watercolour pencils and pastels, oil pastels, inktense pencils, chalks pastels and inks.
SOFT SCULPTURE
Exploring materials such as cloth, paper, wire and plastics to create 3 Dimentional sculptures. A chance to use imaginination to make something unusual.
BEGINNERS, IMPROVERS AND ADVANCED MACHINE EMBROIDERY
Exploring this wonderful tool to make hangings, cushions, art images etc.
